Talma Janette Rice Lightfoot, age 94, of Hondo passed away Saturday, Oct. 31, 2015. Born May 4, 1921, in DeLeon TX, she was the daughter of Russell and Laura Patterson Rice. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Edward Lightfoot; and brothers, Robert and David Rice. Survivors include her son, Keith (Judy) Lightfoot of Sherman; daughter, Flora "Flo" (Lex) Cottle of Hondo; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and sisters, Mary Duke of Ft. Morgan CO, and Ann Baker of Montgomery TX. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Nov. 6, at Nowlin Anders Funeral Home in DeLeon, followed by interment in DeLeon Cemetery. The family suggests memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, Hondo, or the charity of one's choice.
