Teresa Arriaga Montañez, age 75, of Hondo passed away Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2013. Born in Nueva Rosita, Coahuila, Mexico, Oct. 15, 1937, she was the daughter of Jose and Carmen (Delgado) Arriaga. Teresa was a homemaker, a loving mother and wonderful grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Santos Montañez; and siblings, Thomas Arriaga, Concepcion "Concha" Rabago and Juan Arriaga. Survivors include her daughters, Gabriela Montañez of Hondo, Araceli Villareal and husband Alex of San Antonio, Santa Montañez of Pleasanton; son, Gabriel Montañez and wife Norie of Hondo; six grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Anna Salazar, Velia Ruiz, Rosa Chacon, Victor Arriaga, Jose "Pepe" Arriaga, Guadalupe Castro and Severo Arriaga, all of Mexico. Visitation will be Friday, Aug. 23, 6 to 8 p.m., at Guinn-Horger Funeral Home Chapel, with a Rosary recited at 7 p.m. Funeral service will be held Saturday, Aug. 24, 10 a.m., at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, followed by interment at Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section. Pallbearers are Juan J. Cordenaz, Richard M. Cordenaz Jr., Daniel Ybarra, Christopher A. Villareal, Roberto Ramirez, and Angel Rabago.
