Terry Loraine Carle Schueling of D'Hanis passed away Thursday, Mar. 17, 2016. She was 58. Born in Hondo, Feb. 28, 1958, she was the daughter of Lawrence J. and Melvira Mary Rothe Carle. She graduated D'Hanis High School and earned a Bachelor degree in Education from Southwest Texas State University. She was a retired teacher, having taught third grade for more than 30 years. Terry was an active member of the community, a member of Retired Teachers Association Huajilla Unit and Holy Cross Altar Society. Terry was preceded in death by her father and her sister, Carol Ann Ney. Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Thomas "Tommy" Schueling of D'Hanis; daughter, Amy Renee (Shane) Blythe of Yancey; son, Aaron Gregory Schueling of Jacksonville, FL; sisters, Joan Langfeld of D'Hanis, Sandy (David) McGehee of D'Hanis; and brothers, Rothe J. Carle of Hondo and Mike A. (Ellen) Carle of Alamo Heights; and nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Monday, Mar. 21, 6 to 7 p.m., at Holy Cross Catholic Church, followed by recitation of the Rosary at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, Mar 22, 8:45 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church, followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, D'Hanis. Pallbearers were Judson McGehee, Gaylon Schueling, Sean Burk, Jonathan Schueling, Charlie Burk, Troy Langfeld, Taylor McGehee and Joseph Langford. Honorary pallbearer was Josh Schueling.
