Thelma Ila Johnson Moss (1919 - 2010) Thelma Moss, born April 28, 1919, to E. J. and Ila Johnson, died in Austin this past Sunday, Aug. 29, 2010, after a long illness. Visitation will be Tuesday, Aug. 31, 6 to 8 p.m., at Guinn-Horger Chapel. Services for Mrs. Moss will be Wednesday, Sept. 1, at 10 a.m., in the Guinn-Horger Funeral Home in Hondo. Interment will follow at Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section. Casket carriers are Floyd Steubing, Joel Moss, Cam Moss, and Larry Muennink. Mrs. Moss was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Lee Moss, and her daughter, Mary Ellen Marcelli, both were residents of Hondo. She was a long-time resident of Hondo and an active member of First Baptist Church for many years. Thelma is survived by her son, James Lee, wife Betty and their children, grandson Cory Lane and granddaughter Audry Long. Also surviving are two granddaughters, Karen Hughes, husband Chris and their children, Lee and Ella; and Nancy Helmers, husband Steve and their son Joseph. We will miss her.
