Thomas Earl Pichot of Laredo passed away Monday, Mar. 30, 2015, at the age of 77. He was born Jan. 27, 1938, in Hondo to C. J. and Alice Saathoff Pichot, the eldest of four boys. He was active in a multitude of community events and organizations, was a public speaker, historian, church leader and author of many books. He is preceded in death by his parents and his grandparents, Jacob and Louise Gerdes Saathoff and Adolph and Minnie Bendele Pichot; brothers, Dennis Leon, Clifton Charles and Perry Lee Pichot; uncles, Frank Carrasco and Robert Burger, George (Lee) Pichot, Homer (Ida Mae) Pichot; and aunt, Eva (Archie) Brown. He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Georgia Gwendolyn "Gwen" Partney Pichot; daughters, Glynn Rae Pichot of Flower Mound and Cindee (Charles Keeling) Pichot of Norman, OK; granddaughter, Kayla LaRae Pichot and grandson, Russell Reed Pichot Brandt; his sisters-in-law, Laura Pichot and Maria Guadalupe "Lupita" Pichot; brothers-in-law, Richard (Mary) Partney of McCamey, C.H. (Barbara) Partney of Lake Whitney, James (Beverly) Partney of San Antonio, Larry Partney of Brackettville; sisters-in-law, Hattie Berleth of Bracketteville and Leta (Glen) Andrew of Kerrville; his aunts, Ada Carrasco, Adell Burger, both of Uvalde, Cecil Partney of Adair OK, and Cindy Dodd of Canyon Lake; and many nephews, nieces and cousins. Visitation will be Friday, Apr. 3, 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 4, at the Guinn-Horger Chapel. Interment will be at Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section, in the family plot. A Memorial Service is pending for Monday April 6, 2015 at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapel, in Laredo, Texas.
