Thomas Jerome Reitzer, age 77, of Hondo passed away Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012, at Community Care Center. Born in Hondo Feb. 8, 1934, he was the son of George and Anna May Reitzer. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Tom was a carpenter and an avid bowler and golfer. He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, LaVerne Reitzer. Survivors include his son, Ronnie Reitzer and wife Paula; daughter, Renee Woods; grandson, Justin Reitzer and wife Ashley; granddaughters, Tamara and Tara; great-granddaughter, Addison Reitzer; sister, Georgia Ann Pope of Hondo; brother, Wilbur Reitzer and wife Ann of Virginia Beach VA; and nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 29, at Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.
