Hondo resident and business owner, Thomas F. Richardson, passed away Saturday morning at his home in Hondo. Tom was a Hondo resident for 12 years, and was the proprietor of Midtown Automotive, formerly Midtown Exxon. An auto mechanic for 40 years, he was brilliant at fixing things. Tom was most proud of his time served in the United States Marine Corps., honorably discharged in 1975. He is survived by his 3 children, Brent Richardson, Blair (Jamie) Richardson, and Jenna (Justin) Thornton, and 4 granddaughters, Cassie, Haylie, and Allie Richardson and Kyla Thornton, all of Arizona. Tom recently reunited with his ex-wife, Debi Richardson of Arizona; they were making plans to start over in Hondo. He is also survived by his younger siblings, a brother, Robert R. Richardson of Plano, TX, and two sisters, Deborah Foster and Sandra Richardson of West Chicago, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Lorraine Richardson. Visitation will be at the Guinn-Horger Funeral Home in Hondo, on Thursday, June 19, 2008 from 5:00-8:00PM with the funeral following at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, on Friday, June 20, at 1:30PM.
