Toby Guerra of D'Hanis passed away Friday, Oct. 18, 2019, at age the age of 53.

Born March 7, 1966, in Hondo, he was the son of Francisco Sr. and Maria Moncada Guerra.

Toby was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, and a friend to many, He was always willing to help anyone, whether it was a meal for the hungry or the shirt off his back for someone who needed it.

An avid outdoorsman, Toby was a skilled hunting guide.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Frank Guerra Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria Martinez Guerra; son, Anthony Guerra; daughters, Cecily Guerra and Brittany Guerra; grandchildren, R. J. Martinez and Jaelynn Garcia, all of D'Hanis; and siblings, Esmie (Jose) Rodriguez of San Antonio, Sandy (Pepe) Cordova of Kerrville, Charles Guerra of Batesville; and Greg (Priscilla) Guerra, Alvin (Lorraine) Guerra and Julian (Melissa) Guerra, all of Hondo.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 22, at Guinn-Horger Funeral Home Chapel and will pause for a Rosary/Prayer Service at 7 p.m. Private interment will be at a later date.
