Tomas T. Acosta, age 83, of Uvalde passed away Sunday, Oct. 30, 2011. Born April 28, 1928, in Spofford, he was the son of Tomas S. and Luisa (Torres) Acosta. He was a road construction laborer. He is preceded in death by his parents; two wives; and sister, Janie. He is survived by his daughters, Aida Acosta of California and Elizabeth Jeffrey; sons, Alfredo, Tomas Jr. and Jose Acosta; and stepchildren, Maria Mirla Rendon of Rocksprings, Juanita Hornage, Romana Bienek, Oscar Rendon, Romelia Carrillo, Angelina Silva, and Angelica Rendon; sisters and brothers. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
