Tomasa Torres Rodriguez of San Antonio, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 1, 2008, at the age of 80 years. Tomasa was born on March 7, 1928, in Hondo, Texas, the daughter of Benjamin & Paula (Navarro) Torres. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Marcos Torres; daughter, Criselda Rodriguez; brothers, Francisco Torres, Juan Torres; sister, Guadalupe Mendoza. Tomasa is survived by her son, Alvaro Rodriguez and wife Charlotte of San Antonio; brother, Ernest Torres of Lockhart. The Rosary will be at 7:00 p.m. on May 2, and the Funeral Mass was at 11:00 a.m. both at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Hondo. The pallbearers were Eric A. Torres, Landy Rodriguez, Ernest Torres, Oscar Torres, Bobby Torres, Joey Tapia. Burial followed at the Hondo Cemetery, Guadalupe Section in Hondo.
