Trinidad Constante, age 87, of Hondo passed away Sunday, January 17, 2010. Born June 18, 1922, in Hondo, he was the son of Jesus and Maria Aguilar Constante. He was a construction laborer. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Irene Sanchez Constante; siblings, Francisco, Jenaro, Maranita, Juanita, Leonorsita, Consuelo Correa and Jesusa Garza; and nephew/stepson, Nicanor Constante who died Friday, Jan. 15. He is survived by his daughter, Katarina Salazar and husband Celestino, Jose Constante and wife Olga of Natalia, Trinidad Constante Jr. and wife Annie Jean, Oralia Correa and husband Joel, all of Hondo, Linda Constante of California, Juan Constante, and Antonio Constante and wife Rachel; nieces/stepdaughters, Corina Fuentez and Frances "Kika" Vasquez; brother, Antonio Constante, all of Hondo; 22 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Rosary will be recited Tuesday, Jan. 19, 6 p.m., at Guinn-Horger Chapel. A joint Funeral Mass for Trinidad and Nicanor will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Fr. Ken Dakin officiating. Pallbearers are Kimberly Correa, Alexis Correa, Rachel Constante, Tomasa Bragdon, Erica Constante, Donna Constante, Belinda Ramirez and Leticia Dueñes. Services for Trinidad will conclude at the church.
