Trinidad M. Cuellar, Jr., Age 56 years, of Hondo, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2005. He was born in Hondo, on November 5, 1948, the son of Trinidad & Lorenza (Mendoza) Cuellar. Trini served on Planning and Zoning Board for the City of Hondo from June 1989 through June 1997. (He served as Chairman from June 1992 until June 1997.) He was elected to the City Council Place 3 in May 1998 and served until 2000. He was preceded in death by his father. Trini is survived by his wife Trinidad (Garcia) Cuellar; daughter Melissa Benavides and husband Ted; sons Thomas Cuellar and wife Esmeralda, Michael Anthony Cuellar and wife Suzanne; daughter Kimberly Ann Cuellar; son Joseph N. Cuellar all of Hondo; 8 grandchildren; mother Lorenza Cuellar of Hondo; brother Felimon "Freddie" Cuellar and wife Michelle of Hondo; sisters Dora Perkins and husband Rondle of Lubbock, Leonore Thomas of Hondo, Delia Carrera and husband Aurelio of Salem, OR, Lorenza Cuellar of Hondo, Hortencia Feick and husband Patrick of Fayetteville, NC. The Rosary will be recited at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church on Thursday March 3, at 7:00 pm and the Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am Friday, March 4, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Hondo. The burial will follow at the Hondo Cemetery, Guadalupe Section.
