Vicente Ybarra of Hondo, Texas, passed away June 25, 2004, at the age of 88 years, 2 months, 5 days. Vicente was born on April 5, 1916, to Ylario & Ramona (Rivera) Ybarra in Hondo, Texas. He was preceded by his parents; wife: Manuela (Reyes) Ybarra; brothers: Jose Ybarra, Teofilo Ybarra, Gilberto Ybarra; sisters: Maria Correa, Theodosa Correa, Victoria Sanchez, Juana Gonzalez. Vicente is survived by his children: Connie "Concha" Saathoff and husband Charles Louis of Austin, Ramon Ybarra, Sr. and wife Rose of Hondo, Janie Zapata of Uvalde, Alicia Del Toro and husband Oscar of San Antonio, Vicente Ybarra, Jr., and wife Bertha of San Antonio, Albert Ybarra of Hondo, Sherry Alejandro and husband Juan of Hewitt, 22 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild; brother: Victor Ybarra of Hondo; sisters: Enedina Guedea of Hondo, Conception Miranda of Hondo. The Rosary will be at 7:00 pm Sunday, June 27, at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and the Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am Monday, June 28, at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. The pallbearers are: Randy Ybarra, Ron Del Toro, Michael Del Toro, Ramon R. Ybarra, Reggie, Del Toro, Christopher Ybarra. Interment will follow in Hondo Cemetery, Guadalupe Section.
