Viola Emabell Calk of San Antonio, Texas, went to be with the Lord on April 14, 2006, at the age of 83, at home. She was born March 25, 1923, in Hondo, Texas, the daughter of Otto Jacob & Emma Katherina (Schulte) Wiemers. She is preceded in death by her parents; infant brother Howard Henry Wiemers; sister-in-law Corine (Nietenhoefer) Wiemers; brother-in-law John R. Wentz. Viola is survived by her husband Ben F. Calk of San Antonio; son Ethan Howard Calk and wife Mary Elizabeth of San Antonio; brothers Elbert Otto Wiemers of Hondo, Meryle Wiemers and wife Shirley of San Antonio; sister Laura Wentz of Hondo. The Visitation will be Sunday, April 16, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Guinn-Horger Funeral Home. Funeral Service, will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, April 17, at the Los Angeles Heights United Methodist Church, 802 Catalina in San Antonio. The casketcarriers were James Wentz, Michael Wiemers, Alan Rankin, David H. Calk, Marvin O. Lange, Jr., Darren Lange. Interment will follow at the New Fountain Cemetery at 12:30 p.m..
