Virginia Myrle "Ginger" (Brotherton) Fohn of D'Hanis, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 27, 2008, at the age of 59 years. Ginger was born on March 14, 1948, in Del Rio, Texas, the daughter of Richard Ross & Dorothy June (Strickland) Brotherton. She is preceded in death by her mother. Ginger is survived by her husband, John Herman Fohn; son, Richard Herman Fohn of Okinawa; daughter, Mary Dorothy Paxton and husband Christopher of Abilene; sister Janet Carson of Mernard; brother, Richard "Dusty" Brotherton of Bracketwille; father, Richard Ross Brotherton of Del Rio. The Rosary will be at 9:45 a.m. followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at the Holy Cross Catholic Church in D'hanis. Burial will follow at the Holy Cross Cemetery in D'Hanis.
