Vivian La Faye (Sapp) Jones, age 90, of Hondo, passed away Sunday, Jan. 2, 2011. She was born in San Antonio May 28, 1920., the daughter of Oran S. and Fannie L. (Cook) Sapp. Vivian was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Howard W. Jones, in 1995; and brothers, Manfred Sapp in 1973 and Ireland Lee Sapp in 1997. She is survived by her two sons, Howard W. Jones Jr. and wife Robin of Rockport and Bobby "Bob" Jones and wife Kathy of Hondo; granddaughter, Natalie Mize and husband John of Lincoln, Ark.; and great-grandchildren, Mason and Makinzie Mize. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Jan. 7, at the Guinn-Horger Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at the Sabinal Cemetery. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, Hondo.
