Wanda Lora Dement Kosler of Victoria passed away Sunday, June 2, 2024 at the age of 81. Born on December 4, 1942, in Somerset, she was the daughter of Samuel Wesley and Violet Manlove Dement.
Wanda lived a full, rich life. In addition to being a devoted wife and mother, she was a nurse, Instrument technician, avid gardener, small business owner, amateur radio operator, bed and breakfast operator, and a published author. She also loved to ride motorcycles, fly airplanes, Scuba dive and enjoyed life to the fullest. She cared deeply about others, volunteering countless hours to help those in need of food, clothing, shelter and compassion.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Samuel Otho and James Lloyd Dement, and her step-father Don Davis.
Surviving are her husband of nearly 50 years, Joe Kosler of Victoria, daughters, Roxanne Summers of Knippa, and Sheila Rothe (Ronnie) of D'Hanis, son Roger Warnock (Marilyn) of Tomball, step daughter Kelly Kosler of Victoria, 21 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren; sister Donna White (Richard) of Houston, and brother, Wesley Davis (Jackie) of Granbury.
A private celebration of life is planned.
Memorials may be made to St. Philip's Episcopal Church of Uvalde, 343 N Getty St, Uvalde, TX 78801; the National Arbor Foundation, or any charity that feeds and clothes those in need.
