Wanda Fay (Van Fleet) Dubray, age 78, of Yancey passed away Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2008. Wanda was born in Hondo July 7, 1929, to John Alton and Alice Fay (Coffee) Van Fleet. She and Joseph M. Dubray Jr. were married Sept. 2, 1949. A fulltime homemaker, she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Wanda is preceded in death by her parents; son, Michael J. Dubray; and brother, John Alton "Buck" Van Fleet Jr. Survivors are her husband of 58 years; son, Joseph M. Dubray III and wife Mary-Lynn of Edmond, OK; daughter, Karen A. Aibner and husband Bob of Colorado Springs, CO; grandchildren, Bob, Tracy, Jonathan, Megan, Elizabeth and Jeff; great-grandchildren, Zac and Katie; and sister, Ruth Alford of San Antonio. Rosary was recited at 10 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 23, followed by Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m., at Holy Cross Catholic Church, D'Hanis, with Fr. Wallis J. Stiles officiating. A private interment service will be held later.
