William Jay Adkins passed away Sunday, Mar. 1, 2020 in San Antonio at the age of 84.

Born April 23, 1935, in Galveston KY, he was the son of John Samuel and Mae Weddington Adkins.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 62 years, Pauline Maria Saathoff Adkins; granddaughter, Anna Marie; and sister, Lillie Bickle.

He is survived by his loving daughters, Nora Steen (Robert), Delma Smith (James) and Nancy Warner (Bruce), all of San Antonio, and Barbara Hair (Rheuben) of Kyle; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; sister, Julia St. Antoine of River Rouge, MI; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation at Guinn-Horger Chapel will be Thursday, Mar. 5, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, Mar. 6, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Interment will be at at Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.
