William Verbert Gray, age 73, a resident of the Hondo/D'Hanis SKP Park, passed away on Sunday, June 17, 2007, in San Antonio. He was born Aug. 6, 1933, in Athens, GA, the son of Verbert Hawkin Gray and Louise Millie (Kirk) Gray. William was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Geraldine Lee; half-sister, Martha Wood; son, Robert Earl Gray; and stepson, Louie Brube. He is survived by his wife, M. B. Leatha (Legere) Gray; sons, William Kirk Gray and wife Martha of San Diego CA, Kelly Michael Gray and wife Cathy of Tomball and Leonard Karl Gray and wife Jackie of Avalon Beach FL; daughters, Linda L. Schmale and husband Michael of Littleton CO and Leatha Ann Wend-land of Portland OR; stepson, Joseph Ferris II and wife Michele of China Village ME; 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Memorial service will be held Friday, July 6, 10 a.m., at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
