William (Bill) Moffett, age 69 of D'Hanis, surrounded by his family, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2020.

He was born in Mt. Clemens, Michigan, on November 4, 1950, to Carl and Eloulse Moffett. He is preceded in death by his father and mother and his brother, Ray Moffett.

Bill is survived by his wife of 47 years, Judy Huesser Moffett; daughter, Shanna (Joe) Arnett; son, Scott (Krystal) Moffett; and his grandchildren, Garrett, Logan, Kenny, and Abby Arnett and Sara, Hannah and Carol Moffett, all of D'Hanis. He is also survived by his sister, Sandra Potter of San Antonio, and many nieces and nephews.

Upon moving to D'Hanis, Bill left City Public Service in San Antonio and began his career at Medina Electric Cooperative where he wore many hats over the years before retiring in 2012 after 30 1/2 years.

Bill was an active member of Holy Cross Catholic Church and the D'Hanis Lions Club. He enjoyed taking care of his cattle and following his grandchildren around to their school activities and sporting events.

Bill was at peace with his short battle with cancer. He told his family he had lived a Blessed Life.

Visitation will be Friday, Aug. 7, 6 to 8 p.m., at Guinn-Horger Funeral Home Chapel.

Rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m., followed by Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 8, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Limited attendance, masks and social distancing are required.
