Zonell Simpson, Age 77 years, 1 months, and 28 days, of Castroville, Texas, died on Monday, January 3, 2005. She was born in Eastland, on November 6, 1927, the daughter of J. L. & Grace (Hard) Funk. She graduated from Carlton High School on May 25, 1945. Zonell married R. T. Simpson on March 2, 1947 in Hamilton. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband R. T. Simpson, daughter Becky Simpson, four brothers and four sisters. Zonell is survived by her son Robert L. Simpson and wife Linda of Castroville; grandchildren Robert B. Simpson of Wilberton, OK, Raymond Trent Simpson of Castroville, Jodi Merrifield of Amarillo, Craig Martin of Abilene; great grandchildren Ryan Merrifield, Haylie Merrifield, Macy Martin; sister Loretta Sheek of Dixon; brother Lloyd Funk of Granbury; and numerous nieces and nephews. The Visitation will be from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm and from 8:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Wednesday, January 5 at the Guinn-Horger Funeral Home and the Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am Thursday, January 6, at the Church of Christ in Hondo. There will be visitation at the Head Family Funeral Home in Levelland from 9:00 am until 11:00 am Friday January 7 with burial at 3:00 pm in the Peaceful Gardens Cemetery in Levelland The Pallbearers are Trent Simpson, Craig Martin, Ryan Merrifield, chris Merrifield, Terry Funk, Bryce Britsch.
