Zrayda H. Rushing was born December 17, 1924. She passed away June 30, 2003 in Uvalde, Texas at the age of 78 years, six months, and 13 days. Zrayda was preceded in death by her parents: Otto Robert & Velma Beatrice (Fogle) Hobbs; son-in-law: Phil Ljungdahl; brother-in-law: Jerry McCarty. She is survived by her husband Lon Rushing, Jr. of Sabinal, son: Ron Rushing and wife Marla of San Antonio; daughter: Patti Ljungdahl of College Station, two grandchildren and three great grandchildren; sisters: Bobbie McCarty of San Antonio, Roberta Gass and husband Paul of Uvalde, Estella Green and husband Bobby of San Antonio; brother-in-law: R. D. Rushing of Seguin. Visitation will be at the First Baptist Church of Sabinal from 1:00 p.m. until service time on Thursday July 3. The Funeral Service was at 3:00 pm Thursday July 3, at First Baptist Church of Sabinal. Interment followed in Sabinal Cemetery. Pallbearers were Joe Boyd, Billy Mitchell, Butch Keath, Eck Horton, Stephen Horton, David Fowler. In leiu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the Sabinal Cemetery Association, P.O.
